Christie Gillespie have provided and continue to offer ongoing engineering consultancy for Logiealmond Estate in Perthshire. Work to the south of the estate involved conversion of existing barn into residential accommodation. The proposals included underpinning and slapping alterations to existing walls, in addition to new ground floor and roof constructions.
Additionally, we provided engineering design for alterations to the Keeper’s House and Bothy, Laverockbank Farmhouse and Steading building.
The Steading Building involved creation of large glazed opening in northern gable wall, removal of internal walls at ground floor, new internal double door opening in loadbearing wall, new window opening in external wall, new partitions, and replacement of existing garage door with large glazed screen
The Farmhouse included removal of existing loadbearing walls at ground floor, replacement of 2no double doors with large glazed opening and new partition walls.
