1st floor level:

  • Removal of existing timber non-loadbearing partitions in shower rooms,
  • Removal of timber staircase in south/west corner of the building,
  • Timber floor infill in existing staircase in south/west corner of the building,
  • Infills to existing door openings


2nd floor level:

  • Removal of existing timber non-loadbearing partitions,
  • Removal of timber staircase in south/west corner of the building,
  • Timber floor infill in existing staircase in south/west corner of the building,
  • Infills to existing door openings

Christie Gillespie provided structural engineering design to support the alterations to Solsgirth House, Dollar. These included:

Lower ground level:

  • New slapping through internal brickwork wall
  • Removal of section of loadbearing brickwork wall supporting concrete stairs and landing
  • Removal of existing external fire escape steel stairs
  • Infills to existing door openings,
  • Removal of timber staircase in south/west corner of the building


Ground level:

  • Removal of brickwork partition in and attic floor joists above new golf simulator room
  • Removal of number of loadbearing walls in new gym.
  • Removal of existing timber non-loadbearing partitions in toilet and en-suite rooms,
  • Removal of timber staircase in south/west corner of the building,
  • 3No slappings through internal brickwork walls,
  • New timber frame partitions.
  • Infills to existing door openings
