With over 20 years' experience, Chris has developed a wide range of knowledge in areas including site investigation, civil engineering, groundworks, reinforcement detailing, portal frame steel buildings, temporary works, timber-framed buildings, new build integration to existing structures, facade retention, surveys, dealing with local authorities and project management.
Historic building surveys, repairs, museums, galleries, visitor centres and sculptures have all been exciting areas of work. Over the years, Chris has worked on a vast array of existing building house alterations, conversions and extensions which have provided opportunities to develop an extensive knowledge of existing buildings. Additionally, during this time he has worked with a wide range of materials including timber, concrete and steel to more sustainable housing methods using suds drainage schemes, sips wall panels, hay bale and mud 'cob' buildings.
Chris has an excellent working knowledge of several software packages including Sketch Up, Tedds, Robot Structural Analysis, Autocad, Cads RC, PDS and Revit Structure where he has produced 3D modelling of existing/new buildings and collaborated with other parties using BIM systems.
Chris is always looking for new challenges to keep driving my career forward, develop new skills and ultimately deliver projects to a high standard, on time and within budget.
In his spare time, Chris loves to go mountain biking, to travel, read and listen to a wide variety of music.
