Samuel Gill | Project Engineer | BEng
Business & Finance Manager
Samuel joined Christie Gillespie in 2015 while reading for his bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering with Architectural Design at Heriot-Watt University. In his current role as a Project Engineer, he is responsible for the technical design, management and delivery of structural projects for a range of clients across the private and public sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial and educational developments. He has experience working on both new build projects and restoration & refurbishment of historic buildings, and he is always striving to demonstrate his passion for design and innovation.
Time spent on-site in his early career as a joiner's apprentice, combined with his engineering know-how, enables Samuel to develop practical design solutions for a range of construction materials, including steel, timber, reinforced concrete and masonry structures. Additionally, this experience also provides him with valuable insights when addressing site queries and undertaking structural surveys and site investigations.
Outside of engineering, Samuel is a keen traveller and avid music listener and, when not undertaking home renovations or catching up with friends, he enjoys learning about theoretical and astrophysics!
